Yes, the Holy Spirit is the gift of the Father to us. So is salvation, yet the fullness of what Jesus did for us all, is not always appropriated in all areas of our lives. So, with the Holy Spirit, just like with our salvation, there are new dimensions of discovery, application, impartation, and appropriation as we move forward in faith. Simply put, with God, there is always more because He is always more than we could ever imagine and what He can do is more than we can imagine and think.

Of course, this is a topic which can provide lots of conversation. I will be glad to send you some things I've written about it.

My question is, why do others not have power? If the Holy Spirit is a gift from God, why do only some receive that baptism?

Here's a devotion I read the other day that goes along with your blog --
